Choices...

We all make choices and I choose not to put up with the shit that others feel I need to have in my life.  I want to make the choice as to whether or not I can go on a vacation or go back to bed instead of going to work or whether I can shop for what I want, the list goes on and on and on.   Soon, my ability of choice will be restored. I never understood what it meant to have one's  freedom taken away. I don't think anyone understands till it happens and how it restricts EVERYTHING!. When the simplest things you once enjoy become frustrating and the joys you once had have disappeared as mere memory of the past. My struggle will soon be over and life will be restored. I make this promise to myself. For those of you who know me well will understand and those who don't just think about your choices.

Time Flies when you having fun...

Another few weeks have flown by and I have nothing to show for it.  What could be better than getting your children settled into their new routines and of course the lunch-making ahead of time, the bed-making, the teeth and face washing and getting out the door on time,  Did I say I enjoy this... not particularly as I have to get ready too on top of it all.

My crafting time has been some what excluded from the daily events and that somewhat bothers me, but I have enough to contend with at the moment that I am content with what time I do get. I am grateful for many things lately and I am sorry I have taken advantage of other things. I am grateful for the many friendships I have and the time that my friends give me. I know I don't tell them enough and if they read this blog they know who they are. I am also grateful from my wonderful husband. The true passion of our friendship and relationship has changed over the years with many ups and downs but  our commitment to one another has remained and that is something I can truly say I cherish.  We will be celebrating our 17th Anniversary this month and I have to say I don't think I would have changed a single year. For those who know me might think I'm crazy, but this is the god honest truth, even though I have complained during those times. LOL

So, be thankful for what you have and not what you don't have.

Now if I could just get some crafting done and quit being so sentimental and just because I have written so much doesn't mean I don't have anything to share this time......

Back to the Balance...

So, school is in and life is getting back to some type of normalcy or should I say ...

BALANCE

I have been on a mission to purge my house and especially my closet, kids closet, linen closet, downstairs closets. LOL I am trying to get rid of anything that doesn't fit, that we don't like, is 20+ years old. Hmmmmmmmmm, does that include Xmas. You bet!  I have so much crap in this house of mine that I am happy to report that I am making a dent.  NOW, if I could just get some time off of work to finish what I started and clear out the piles.

As for creating, it's there and I am happy to report that I was able to complete my Big Picture Scapbooking book!! Yeah me. That has been a work in progress for the past year and has been bugging me ever since the class had finished, but I can finally say it's 98% complete as I haven't done the journalling yet.

Cards..... well that's another story.  I have made some creations, taken pics, but just haven't had the time to crop, edit and post.  Give me some time and I will get that done too! LOL

Keep checking back and maybe you'll get a surprise and I will have some cards to show.

Where has the time gone?

Well, Summer is just about to wrap up and the kids are almost ready for school. There's that "S"-word again! LOL To those of you that had been following my blog, I am truly sorry I have fallen of the face of the earth. For one, I totally lost my creative mojo. Second, my job went into overdrive and I have been working more hours than expected, and third I have taken on another job to fill in the time that I had to actually craft.  :(  and forth if anyone cares I have been working on my personal well-being.

On the flip side, I have finally started to craft again and might have some time to start posting once the kids are back in school and I finish work at 3pm. My creativity for cards has definitely come back and I think that so has my creativity with my scrapbooking. I am actually attending a crop at a local scrapbooking store this weekend and hope to get my Cathy Z course completed.  Only a year after the fact. :)  See the link below to see what I will be up to on the weekend.

So, please stay tuned and maybe, just maybe you will start to see some of my latest creations!

Cards to showcase, finally!

Here are couple of cards that I created last month. They are both using mainly SU! products except for the Lg. layering square and scallop rectangle I used that are by Spellbinders. I love the way the Sage Shadow and Basic Gray cardstocks worked. That is old DSP, but what else can I say I am trying to get rid my old stock. :)

Stepped my foot into it again...

It never fails... I should learn, but it's either my stupidness or my stubbornness that gets in the way. I am still working on that balance in my life and it seems that I just can't seem to get it right.

I did have a nice day of crafting with a friend today, all the while having my friends wonderful children keep a watchful eye out for my munchikins as we painted canvas's downstairs.  I think it will turn out well and I like what I have done so far with it.  I just have to get my mojo going again, which has been stifled for way to long.

On a side not ,we also got a chance to enjoy some rays and watch our men work. LOL 

The day ended with me working on my d__n accounting that should have been completed months ago. Again..... BALANCE ...... still working on it.  Will it ever happen?? Sometimes I think there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but sometimes not.

She's Back in business....

I bet you are wondering who I am talking about.  Well, it's RHEA from R&R Scrapbooking and she back from her health issues and re-opened her store ahead of schedule.  Go and check her out at R&R Scrapbooking.  She has to bring up her inventory, but she's back to regular business and doing fine. Hi Rhea!!

Well, I have finally got some projects stamped, but I haven't had time to upload my pictures yet and do all the photo editing before I post them. Instead I have been working on my accounting, working and starting the new soccer season. Oh and I can't forget that my youngest turned 6 this weekend! My baby has gotten so big and now want's to be skater boy! (Yikes.) Anyhow, sorry I haven't posted for so long, but life has definitely gotten in the way of my crafting! :)

OMG!! Spring has sprung!

Sorry I haven't like posted in ever. Life has gotten in the way of my computer time. This working full-time, taking care of me and the other family members has made my life a little more complicated then it use to be. I am still working out the bugs. As well, I haven't done much in the crafting area of my house and today I am posting from my friends house, 'cause she has bugged me to update my blog.  I don't even have any pics to post of the Easter happenings this weekend, but maybe I will by the end of it. I have been working on organizing photos and trying to pull some from discs that have been sitting and have saved images from years gone by.  Yes, I am still working on my Big picture scrapbooking class from December and it doesn't look like it's coming to an end anytime soon.  Maybe one of these days I will post some of the pictures of those scrapbook pages, but not yet...

..........ah to be single and have no children, not have to work and worry about how to pay the bills. Yeah right! Don't get me wrong I love my family, but getting a day alone to do what I want todo doesn't happen often enough.

Ah, yes.... art.  I haven't done much in the creating department lately. I have been working on some scrapbook pages but haven't had time to take pictures of them yet.  I helped a friend yesterday create her wonderful workspace and hopefully she will get some pictures up of it soon. My great space will have to wait for me to work in it as I just can't get time to do anything in it.  I am alive and kicking, but all of a sudden my life has gotten really hectic.  I will be working full time again and not have much time for my art.  So, I hope you will stay tuned for my art.
