Things I would like to share from 2008

I created these gifts for the teachers after seeing on of them on Andrea Walfords site.  (Bottom image) She had so many wonderful ideas that I just had to use them. As like many people i know always short on time and needing a quick idea.  I hope the teacher's like them, but one will never know the truth behind that. :) Of course these all included chocolate and what teacher doesn't appreciate that.

I also created these gifts for my eldest son's classmates after much begging once he had seen what I had made for his younger brother's class. (see the skewer's with gummies on them) posted here. Those were not the easiest things to make, but the kids really enjoyed them. So I simplified my life and made these for his class instead.  Easy effective and eaten up in one sitting. The kids loved these and thanked me tons for these treats.

And things I would like to share for the beginning of 2009.....

On Friday I went to a creative friend's place and I really enjoyed her company and thrived on the creativeness she has. I seem to be lacking lately. Maybe it's that work thing that seems to be getting in the way which has come to somewhat of a conclusion at the moment and I am fine with that.

We started to create our Canvas's for the year and I would like to share the details of what is emerging with the word I have chosen for this year.  {BALANCE}

   

             

It's not completed and I still have to finish the edges and clean it up and add some more details, but I am enjoying what I have created. It's hanging up in my living room at the moment and I don't even know if it will make it down to my studio. :) That's how much I am enjoying it.

Well, I am done my sharing for the moment and I think I have started off the year right for me anyway. Cheers to all that keep on creating and sharing.

Christmas, is it here yet?

No stockings are hung, no decorations are up... and is Santa really coming to our house?? Not.... if I don't get the darn tree up.  My hubby still hasn't gotten our fireplace finished (which he promised his youngest lad) and now I am just waiting for the tiles to be added. Yeah... he was suppose to be done this for December 1st, we are now at the 16th. What the frack? (New word I picked up. LMAO) Hopefully he will have it completed for this Thursday/Friday of this week so the boyz and I can set up the tree and the area downstairs for this blissful season.

I do have a couple of projects to share today. The are from Andrea Walford's site. She has such wonderfully creative ideas and I have been having such a drought in the creativity area, that I am so glad there are others out there that aren't lacking in that department.

I created these for a LSS, but unfortunately was unable to do the class. I thought they were pretty cute and it was fun putting them together. They look big here, but that just the picture... they are about 2 1/2" - 3" big. I don't normally do these type of things, but I have decided to live outside the normal parameters of my crafting world. LOL

Canvas has struck my home!

Well as some of you know I am going to be off to a sunny destination for the next 10 days! I have been so busy this summer that posting seems like a chore. But I thought that I would post this cool bag that I created to take to the beach with me. (insert BIG grin here). I did this bag using a purplish canvas and painted it white and all the other fun stuff that needs to be done to create an awesome bag like this. LOL Anyhow, I created this one after taking a class with some wonderful friends of mine over at the LOST&FOUND STUDIO.  Take a wander over to their web site as they are having blog candy at the moment!

 

Anyhow, better be off to go get the final packing done and get my passport!!
